Key Responsibilities(Automation Professional)- Understand functional, technical and operational aspects of the tactical automation request and CI for GBS and achieve the FTE efficiency target provide by management.
- To find the scope of automation in various Lob/team and provide solutions.
- Work closely with Transformation leads/ Operations manager(s) to understand the requirements and do project management.
- Design the technical details for developing tool and maintain the documents.
- Develop the code, macros and related documentation for implementing the technical design.
- Work on end to end tactical solution from requirement gathering to development ,UAT, deployment and maintenance.
- Support on-going changes
- in terms of enhancements or issue resolutions.
- Work under the guidance of the Business Efficiency manager and other GBS management to provide point and tactical automation using Macros, Access etc to improve productivity of the team.
- Work closely with Lob’s on CI projects and drive them to closure. Help individual with A3 certifications.
- Ensure all requests are handled within required service standard
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with colleagues and customers alike.
- Maintain regular and consistent attendance, punctuality and appearance.
- Pursue personal development of skills and knowledge necessary for the role, and take responsibility for own learning.
- Play a role of an expertise amongst team members and guide them.
- Skills and Experience Required- Drive tactical automation - Will work on tactical automation projects and developing macros/tools (on excel, outlook, access, SharePoint, Auto hotkeys, Web Scraping etc.) to help our operational users and drive automation to achieve efficiency.- Requirement gathering
- Will be working closely with Transformation lead/Ops managers for requirement gathering, scope identification and project management of assigned projects.- Play role of Solution Architect on all projects to design the best solution.- Prepare SDD, TDD and other technical documents for each projects.- Develop and Deploy
- Will develop tactical solution for repetitive task to achieve efficiency within GBS.- Manage & Coach -Will need to help team members and coach them when necessary on their Objectives- Support - Post project delivery giving support to delivered project with mínimal business impact- Automation specialist is a key role in GBS automation team since it provides tactical solution and help to achieve FTE efficiency. These contract matrices and GBS performance on specific contracts are presented to key stakeholders and senior management within BTGS and BT Group management and senior executives including end customers. Lack of or poor quality of MIS work will impact CSAT, ability to conduct contract performance reviews, proactive escalation and issue resolution as well as hamper the business improvement of the team.
- Qualifications:
- Minimum of two years’ experience in either a Telecom or IT domain in MI function/RPA/System development.
- Graduate (in any background) BCA/MCA/BT-Tech would be preferred.
- Highly technical savvy and knows the Software development, Database management, Programming and RPA.
- Good written and spoken English.
- Competence in Windows based tools (Outlook/Word/Excel/PPT)- Preferred Programming languages:

- Open Span- Required working experience:
- Exceptional VBA programming skills in Excel, MS Access, MS Word, Outlook.
- Knowledge of RPA tools mainly Blue Prism, UiPath ,Automation anywhere etc. would be preferred.
- Knowledge of SharePoint 2010/2013, InfoPath, Web designing, SharePoint workflow etc.
- Experience and competence in turning functional requirement into Technical design and into executable code in macros and at least one other programming environment.
- Being able to work in a team as well as an individual contributor.
- Being able to follow a standard operating model and governance.
- Being able to take ownership if tasks assigned and complete them on time, escalate early to the Operations management.
- Experience in working in a diverse and fast paced work environment.
