**Job Summary**:
As an experienced Insurance Claim Adjuster specializing in the logistics industry, you will manage and resolve insurance claims related to transportation, warehousing, and logistics operations. Your role involves investigating, evaluating, and settling complex claims while ensuring compliance with industry standards and company policies.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- **Claim Investigation**: Conduct thorough investigations into claims related to logistics, including cargo damage, transportation losses, and warehouse incidents. Gather and analyze evidence from inspections, interviews, and documentation.
- **Assessment and Evaluation**: Assess the extent of damages or losses, determine liability, and calculate accurate settlements based on industry practices and policy coverage.
- **Documentation**: Prepare detailed reports and maintain comprehensive records of all claim-related activities, including investigations, findings, and communications.
- **Negotiation**: Engage in negotiations with claimants, carriers, and other stakeholders to reach fair and equitable settlements, ensuring alignment with company policies and industry regulations.
- **Compliance**: Ensure all claims are processed in accordance with legal requirements, industry standards, and company procedures. Stay updated on relevant laws and regulations affecting logistics insurance.
- **Customer Service**: Provide exceptional service to policyholders, addressing inquiries and concerns promptly. Communicate clearly about claim status, coverage details, and required documentation.
- **Collaboration**: Work closely with internal teams, such as logistics, legal, and underwriting, to resolve complex claims and support overall claims management.
- **Problem Solving**: Resolve disputes and challenges that arise during the claims process, utilizing your expertise to find solutions and mitigate risks.
**Qualifications**:
- **Education**: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Logistics, Finance, or a related field.
- **Experience**: Minimum of 2 years of experience as an insurance claim adjuster within the logistics or transportation industry.
- **Skills**: Advanced analytical, negotiation, and communication skills. Proficiency with claims management software and MS Office Suite.
- **Tools**:More preference will be given to the person who knows how to work with PCS software.
- **Knowledge**: Deep understanding of logistics operations, insurance policies specific to the logistics industry, and regulatory requirements.
- **Certification**: Relevant certifications (e.g., Associate in Claims (AIC), Certified Professional Insurance Adjuster (CPIA)) are preferred.
