Reuters is looking for an experienced, driven, scoop-hungry reporter to cover India’s central bank. Based in Mumbai, this role will focus on sourcing news on India’s economic, monetary and regulatory policies emerging from the Reserve Bank of India. The role will also involve building sources within the debt and forex markets who interact with policymakers and have a deep understanding of India’s economic policies.

**About The Role**

As our Correspondent, Central Bank, you will:

- Work closely with the macro, debt and foreign exchange teams to work on stories of importance to the financial markets.
- Try to spot trends and changes in economic and monetary policy early and explain the relevance to markets.
- Build a network of sources within the central bank and those who interact closely with the central bank.
- Be able to take a global view on India’s policies and explain their relevance to a wider audience.

**About You**

You’re a fit for the India central banking correspondent role if you have:

- Excellent source building and writing skills with a desire to break news.
- An understanding of macro and monetary policy, along with financial markets.
- A strong work ethic, and are eager to collaborate across teams to break news.
- Fluency in English.
