Logistics Supervisor

**A. Roles & Responsibilities**:

- Supervising Dispatch Operations: Overseeing all activities related to dispatch operations, including scheduling, routing, and tracking of shipments.
- Staff Management: Supervising dispatch staff, including dispatchers and drivers, assigning tasks, and ensuring that they adhere to processes and procedures.
- Coordination: Coordinating with various departments such as warehouse, transportation, and customer service to ensure efficient dispatch operations.
- Routing and Scheduling: Planning and optimizing delivery routes to ensure timely and cost
- effective delivery of goods. This involves considering factors like distance, traffic, and delivery priorities.
- Inventory Management: Monitoring inventory levels and coordinating with warehouse staff to ensure that there are enough products available for dispatch.
- Quality Control: Ensuring that all goods are properly packaged, and binned before dispatch to maintain quality standards.
- Documentation: Managing all necessary paperwork, including dispatch documents, invoices, and delivery receipts. Ensuring that all documentation is accurate and compliant with regulatory requirements.
- Customer Service: Addressing customer inquiries and concerns regarding delivery schedules, tracking information, and any other such demands.
**- B. Qualifications / Skills**:

- Education and Qualifications: Diploma or equivalent is typically required. A bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, business administration, or a related field can be advantageous.
- Experience: Previous experience in logistics, transportation, or warehouse operations is highly desirable. Experience in a supervisory or leadership role is would be advantageous. Familiarity with dispatch software and transportation management systems (TMS) is advantageous as well.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in using MS office and the skill to adapt and use the given software

(customized). Ability to analyse data and generate reports to monitor performance metrics and identify areas for improvement. Knowledge of inventory management principles and practices.
- Communication Skills: Decent verbal and written communication skills are essential for effectively coordinating with dispatch staff, drivers, customers, and other stakeholders. Strong interpersonal skills for building relationships with team members and resolving conflicts.
- Organisational Skills: Ability to priorities tasks and manage multiple responsibilities in a fast
- paced environment. Strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy in documentation and dispatch operations.
- Problem-Solving Abilities: Quick thinking and the ability to make decisions under pressure to resolve issues and minimise disruptions in dispatch operations. Critical thinking skills for analysing problems and implementing effective solutions.
- Leadership and Team Management: Ability to lead and coordinate a team of leadsman and drivers to deliver efficient customer service. Mentoring skills to develop the capabilities of team members and foster a positive work environment.
- Adaptability and Flexibility: Willingness to adapt to changing circumstances and work schedules, including the ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Customer Focus: Commitment to meeting customer needs and expectations by ensuring on-time delivery, addressing customer inquiries and concerns promptly, and maintaining a high level of service quality.

Pay: Up to ₹22,000.00 per month
