**Job Summary**:
Reports directly to the General Accounting Senior Supervisor and interfaces with counterparts in other service locations, project offices, and controller management.
**Major Responsibilities**:
- The GL Reconciliation Supervisor is responsible for administrative and supervisory functions associated with the New Delhi BBS reconciliation team.
- The GL Reconciliation Supervisor is responsible for the “job duties and responsibilities” assigned to each member of the Reconciliation ledger team.
- Ensures the team adheres to Bechtel policies, procedures, and instructions.
- Reviews Open Item Reconciliation for the assigned entity offices/sets of books with appropriate Reconciliation Accountant and recommends corrective action regarding inconsistencies and errors.
- Review non-Conforming accounts, and High-Risk accounts. Provide status of non-conforming and high-risk accounts to Operations Manager / Controllers / other stakeholders.
- Provides supervision to accountants in the preparation of the reconciliations, fund management, and other reports as required. Prepares or reviews Open Item Reconciliations, summary reports funds management, and analyzes financial data and problems.
- Presents and supports findings and recommendations. Reviews and approves journal entries.
- Handle complex accounting matters, manages team performance and be responsible for team's performance review, highlight complex accounting matters in a timely manner to stakeholders and provide recommendations for its resolution.
**Education and Experience Requirements**:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field and 10-12 years of accounting experience
- Advance / Strong knowledge of accounting, financial reporting, Oracle Financials
**Required Knowledge and Skills**:
- Should possess good analytical skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
- Understanding of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and applicable accounting Standards
- Must be dependable, punctual, conscientious, and function well in a team environment
- Having an MBA would be an added advantage.
