ROLE
The role will offer support and learning opportunity through Apprenticeship training to gain knowledge on various aspects of “Investment Banking”. Apprentices receive specialised training for the role and learning will be at the heart of development. Apprentice will work alongside experienced partners, building up knowledge, skills, gaining general workplace experience, understanding how a business works, and improving personal and social skills. This is an early careers opportunity so should be the first step into the financial services world. Will have a strong support system in place from the manager, team, and workplace mentor.
MAJOR DUTIES
- Attending classroom, e-learning and SME training as per the schedule
- Participating in group discussions and classroom activities
- Demonstration on skills Making presentation on the concept learnt - Writing the tests and assessments designed for the program
- Responsible for ensuring timely and accurate processing of transactions within established guidelines.
- Ensures day to day deliverables are met. Checklists are to be prepared and submitted to the next level on a daily basis.
- Tracks trends within the daily deliverables(SLA/KRA) and work along with supervisor to enhance their processes / procedures knowledge.
- Follows the incident/regulatory breach(operational risks) arising from processes reporting procedure with rigor.
ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Apprentices are required to comply with the regulatory regime in which Northern Trust operates as appropriate to the above role
- Apprentices are expected to exercise due care and diligence, ensuring the areas, the incumbent is responsible for, are organised and controlled
- Apprentices are required to observe proper standards of market, business and personal conduct, demonstrating integrity in the execution of duties - Reports to TL/ Section Manager
KNOWLEDGE
- Good oral and written communication skills are required
- Basic Functional / Industry Knowledge is preferred
- Analytical and problem solving skills are required
- Working knowledge on MS-Excel SKILLS

QUALIFICATION A College or University degree ( B.Com / BBA / BA / MBA )
