**Job Title**: Commis III
**Department**: Kitchen / Culinary
**Reports to**: Chef de Partie / Demi Chef de Partie
**Location**: Grand Mall, Velachery.

**Job Type**: Full-Time / Shift-based

**Role Overview**:
The Commis III is an entry-level position in the kitchen brigade, responsible for basic food preparation and assisting senior chefs in various tasks. You will ensure hygiene, cleanliness, and efficiency in the kitchen, while developing your culinary skills under supervision.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Assist in basic food preparation such as chopping vegetables, cutting meats, and preparing ingredients
- Support higher-level chefs in cooking and plating dishes
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation in the kitchen and workstations
- Follow all food safety and hygiene standards (HACCP or equivalent)
- Help with receiving and storing kitchen supplies and ingredients
- Handle kitchen tools and equipment properly and safely
- Learn recipes, techniques, and standards as directed by senior chefs
- Ensure mise-en-place is prepared ahead of service
- Dispose of waste properly and maintain kitchen order

**Qualifications**:

- Basic culinary knowledge or training from a culinary school preferred
- 0-1 year of kitchen experience (freshers welcome)
- Strong willingness to learn and follow instructions
- Good hygiene and grooming standards
- Team player with a positive attitude

**Desirable (Bonus)**:

- Experience in a professional kitchen, hotel, or restaurant
- Knowledge of basic kitchen safety and food handling practices
- Familiarity with kitchen equipment (knives, blenders, ovens, etc.)
