**Job Title**: Academic Counsellor
**Location**: Haryana Institute of Information Technology, Ambala City

**Job Summary**:
We are looking for a motivated and student-focused **Academic Counsellor** to guide prospective and enrolled students in making informed educational and career decisions. The Academic Counsellor will be responsible for handling admissions enquiries, providing course information, offering career advice, and helping students choose the right path based on their interests and aspirations.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Counsel students on available courses, career paths, and learning outcomes.
- Handle walk-ins, phone calls, and online enquiries related to admissions.
- Maintain updated knowledge of all academic programs, certifications, and training opportunities.
- Assist students in understanding eligibility, course structure, duration, and fee details.
- Guide students throughout the admission process — from enquiry to enrollment.
- Maintain student records, enquiry data, and counseling reports.
- Coordinate with faculty and other departments to ensure smooth onboarding and academic support.
- Participate in educational events, seminars, webinars, and workshops as a representative of the institute.

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor's degree in
- 1-3 years of experience in academic counselling, admissions, or a similar role.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal and listening abilities.
- Ability to multitask, work independently, and meet admission targets.

**Preferred Skills**:

- Experience in educational institutions, coaching centers, or vocational training programs.
- Fluency in local language along with English and Hindi.
