**Job Title**: Legal Officer - Real Estate

**Location**: Mysore

**Job Summary**: The Legal Officer oversees the legal aspects of real estate transactions, including verifying documentation, ensuring compliance with state-specific property laws, and mitigating legal risks associated with property dealings.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Document Verification**: Review and verify the authenticity and accuracy of property documents, titles, and agreements to ensure compliance with Indian legal standards.
- **Contract Management**: Draft, review, and negotiate real estate contracts, including purchase agreements, leases, and other legal documents pertinent to property transactions.
- **Due Diligence**: Conduct thorough due diligence on property transactions to identify and mitigate potential legal risks, with a focus on Karnataka's property laws and regulations.
- **Legal Compliance**: Ensure all real estate transactions comply with local, state, and federal property laws and regulations, with particular attention to Karnataka's legal requirements.
- **Dispute Resolution**: Manage and resolve legal disputes related to property matters, including liaising with external legal counsel when necessary.
- **Advisory Role**: Provide legal advice to the management team on property acquisitions, sales, leasing, and development projects.
- **Regulatory Liaison**: Coordinate with regulatory bodies to obtain all necessary legal and regulatory approvals for real estate transactions.
- **Policy Development**: Develop and update internal policies and procedures to ensure ongoing compliance with legal standards in real estate operations.

**Qualifications**:

- **Education**: Bachelor’s degree in Law (LLB) or equivalent; a Master’s degree or specialization in real estate law is advantageous.
- **Licensure**: Licensed to practice law in Karnataka.
- **Experience**: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in real estate law, with a proven track record in handling property transactions and legal documentation.
- **Knowledge**: In-depth understanding of Karnataka's property laws, regulations, and real estate transaction processes.

**Skills**:

- Proficiency in Kannada and English, both written and spoken.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
- Attention to detail and high level of accuracy in document review.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Proficiency in legal research and familiarity with legal databases.

**Working Conditions**:

- Full-time position; may require occasional travel to property sites or regulatory offices within Karnataka and other parts of the country as per work requirements
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
