
Junior /trainee Captain for Reputed Restaurant

The Junior/Trainee Captain is responsible for assisting in the smooth operation of the restaurant, ensuring excellent guest service, managing restaurant setup, taking orders, and serving guests. This role is designed to provide hands-on training and experience to develop leadership skills in the hospitality industry.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- **Restaurant Management & Setup**:
- Assist in daily restaurant opening and closing procedures.
- Ensure proper table setup, including linens, cutlery, glassware, and décor.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining area before and after service.
- Ensure all service stations are stocked and ready for operations.
- **Guest Service & Taking Order**:
- Greet guests courteously and assist them in selecting menu items.
- Take food and beverage orders accurately and relay them to the kitchen.
- Ensure timely service and check guest satisfaction during meals.
- Handle guest inquiries, special requests, and minor complaints professionally.
- **Serving & Food Presentation**:
- Serve food and beverages as per restaurant service standards.
- Ensure proper presentation and quality before serving guests.
- Follow hygiene and safety protocols while handling food and drinks.
- **Team Coordination & Learning**:
- Work closely with senior captains and restaurant staff to ensure smooth service.
- Assist in training new stewards and service staff.
- **Billing & Post-Service Responsibilities**:
- Assist in handling billing and payments when required.
- Ensure tables are cleared and reset promptly for the next guests.
- Gather guest feedback and report to the management for service improvement.
**Requirements**:
- Prior experience in a restaurant or hotel industry is preferred but not mandatory.
- Passion for hospitality, customer service, and guest satisfaction.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask efficiently.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to restaurant service standards.
**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹16,000.00 per month
