Key Responsibilities:
1. Operate video cameras and related equipment to capture live and recorded news content.

2. Collaborate with reporters, producers, and editors to ensure footage meets editorial requirements.

3. Set up and maintain camera equipment, including lighting and audio setups, for news shoots.

4. Travel to various locations, sometimes at short notice, to cover breaking news or scheduled events.

5. Capture high-quality visuals while adhering to journalistic ethics and guidelines.

6. Edit raw footage when required, ensuring it aligns with the newsroom’s standards.

7. Work under tight deadlines to deliver content on time.

8. Maintain equipment and troubleshoot technical issues during shoots.

9. Ensure safety standards are followed while working in various environments, including challenging or hazardous conditions.

10. Stay updated on the latest camera technology and techniques to improve production quality.

Qualifications and Skills:

- Proven experience as a cameraman, preferably in a news environment.
- Proficiency with professional video cameras, lighting, and audio equipment.
- Strong understanding of shot composition, framing, and storytelling through visuals.
- Ability to work in high-pressure, fast-paced situations.
- Flexibility to work irregular hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- A valid driver’s license (for field assignments).
- Knowledge of video editing software is a plus.

Experience Required:

- Minimum 2-3 years of experience in news or broadcast production.

Preferred:

- Familiarity with live broadcasting equipment and techniques.
- Background in journalism or media studies.
