Job Description: Restaurant Captain

**Position**: Restaurant Captain
**Reports to**: Restaurant Manager / Food and Beverage Manager
**Location**: Ernakulam

**Job Summary**:
**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Customer Service**:

- Greet and seat guests, ensuring they have a pleasant dining experience.
- Address customer inquiries and complaints promptly and professionally.
- Ensure high standards of service, taking feedback to improve service quality.
- **Staff Supervision and Training**:

- Supervise the daily operations of the dining area, ensuring all tasks are completed efficiently.
- Train, guide, and mentor new and existing staff, ensuring they adhere to restaurant policies and standards.
- Conduct pre-shift briefings, assigning tasks and ensuring staff understand their responsibilities.
- **Operational Efficiency**:

- Coordinate with the kitchen and bar staff to ensure timely and accurate order delivery.
- Manage reservations and seating arrangements to optimize table turnover and guest satisfaction.
- Oversee the setup and cleanliness of the dining area, ensuring a welcoming environment.
- **Sales and Revenue**:

- Promote special offers, menu items, and upsell food and beverage items to maximize sales.
- Assist in inventory management, ensuring sufficient stock levels of necessary items.
- Monitor and manage cash handling procedures, ensuring accuracy and accountability.
- **Compliance and Safety**:

- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including food safety standards.
- Handle emergency situations calmly and effectively, ensuring the safety of guests and staff.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to hygiene standards.

**Qualifications**:

- **Experience**: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in the hospitality industry, with at least 1-2 years in a supervisory role.
- **Education**: High school diploma or equivalent; degree in hospitality management is a plus.
- **Skills**:

- Strong leadership and team management abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in handling customer complaints and resolving conflicts.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of POS systems and basic financial management.

- Detail-oriented with a commitment to excellence.
- Positive attitude and a passion for providing exceptional customer service.

**Working Conditions**:

- Flexible working hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds as needed.
- Fast-paced, dynamic restaurant environment requiring multitasking and efficiency.

**Application Process**:
Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
