**Responsibilities**:

- Responsible for design & development of Electrical and Non
- Electrical vehicle wiring harness.
- Creation of Electrical logic Schematics in CAPH tool.
- Wiring harness 3D routing by using UG NX.
- Preparation of 2D drawing of harness by using CAPH tool.
- Interface with electrical component and chassis design team to confirm and modify wiring harness to meet the final requirements.
- Interaction with suppliers & vendors to meet the efficiency, cost, weight, manufacturability and serviceability.
- Proto type harness building & proving concept design with tight timing constraints.
- Preparation of DFMEA & review of PFMEA with vendor.
- Costing of automotive wiring harness.
- Benchmarking and generation of ideas for better performance, quality, cost, weight.
- Ability to solve novel, difficult design problems with tight timing constraints.

**Competency Requirements**

**Technical/Functional**:

- Experience in Automotive wiring harness design and should have experience in Electrical vehicle wiring harness design.
- Knowledge about wiring harness child parts and its selection.
- Experience in using Harness software tool like CAPH Xc, Logic and Simstress.
- Experience in using UG Nx for 3D modelling and 3D Harness Routing.
- Familiar with all automotive and Electrical vehicle parts.
- Knowledge of Automotive standards & testing methods.
- Software skills: CAPH Xc, 3D modelling tool (UG NX preferred).
