**Job Overview**:
**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Develop and Implement Safety Policies**: Design and implement health and safety policies that align with legal requirements and organizational needs.
- **Conduct Safety Audits and Inspections**: Perform regular inspections of the workplace to identify hazards and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
- **Risk Assessment**: Conduct risk assessments to anticipate potential issues and develop solutions to mitigate risks.
- **Accident Investigation**: Investigate accidents, near-miss incidents, and dangerous occurrences, and provide recommendations for preventing future incidents.
- **Safety Training**: Provide safety training and awareness programs for employees, ensuring everyone understands their responsibilities.
- **Compliance Monitoring**: Ensure that the company complies with all relevant health and safety laws, regulations, and standards.
- **Emergency Response Planning**: Develop and maintain emergency response protocols, including fire drills, evacuation plans, and emergency equipment checks.
- **Safety Reporting**: Prepare and submit safety reports to management, identifying areas for improvement and tracking the progress of corrective actions.
- **Collaboration with Teams**: Work closely with management and employees to promote a culture of safety within the organization.
- **PPE Management**: Ensure the proper usage of personal protective equipment (PPE) by all staff, and monitor the availability and condition of PPE.

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field.
- Certification in occupational health and safety (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH, OSHA) is preferred.
- Proven experience as a Safety Officer or in a similar role.
- In-depth knowledge of local and international health and safety regulations.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and training skills.
- Ability to handle stressful situations and make decisions in emergencies.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and safety management software.
