**Roles and Responsibilities** Safety Officers are responsible for planning, implementing and overseeing company's employee safety at work. Their main duty is to ensure that the company is in compliance and adheres to Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) guidelines
- Maintain safety standards on site as per the approved safety plan by the client
- Ensure that all the Shop floor employees are always following the Safety measures and complying to PPE rules as per their respective works.
- Responsible for the implementation of 5S and its sustenance.
- Audit HSE compliance with regards to risk, emergency and hazardous waste management.
- In-Depth Knowledge of ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001 Standard, Working knowledge of Workplace Safety and Compliance, Detailed-oriented, Task Management ability, Good Communication Skills(Oral and written), and Good Organizational and Supervisory Skills.
- Should be Certified in Industrial safety / RLIC/
- Issue Work Permit and ensure Safety is maintained.
- Support the development of OHS policies and programs
- Advise and instruct on various safety-related topics (noise levels, use of machinery etc.)
- Conduct risk assessment and enforce preventative measures
- Review existing policies and measures and update according to legislation
- Initiate and organize OHS training of employees and executives
- Inspect premises and the work of personnel to identify issues or non-conformity (e.g. not using protective equipment)
- Oversee installations, maintenance, disposal of substances etc.
- Stop any unsafe acts or processes that seem dangerous or unhealthy
- Record and investigate incidents to determine causes and handle workers compensation claims
- Prepare reports on occurrences and provide statistical information to upper management

**Proven experience as safety officer.**
- In depth knowledge of legislation (e.g. OSHA/ ISO) and procedures
- Knowledge of potentially hazardous materials or practices
- Experience in writing reports and policies for health and safety
- Familiarity with conducting data analysis and reporting statistics
- Proficient in MS Office; Working knowledge of safety management information systems is a plus
- Diligent with great attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to present and explain health and safety topics
- Certificate in occupational health and safety

Diploma in Safety is mandatory.

**Expected DOJ - Immediate**

**Salary**: ₹25,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
