**Role Overview**: The RTG Operator is responsible for operating Rubber-Tired Gantry cranes in a safe and efficient manner, ensuring the smooth movement of containers within the port. The role involves precise control of equipment, adherence to safety protocols, and coordination with other terminal operations.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Safe Equipment Operation**:

- Operate Rubber-Tired Gantry (RTG) cranes to lift, move, and position containers with precision.
- Adhere to all safety guidelines and protocols during equipment operation.
- **Container Handling**:

- Efficiently handle containers from storage areas to designated locations, ensuring proper stacking and organization.
- **Equipment Maintenance**:

- Perform routine maintenance checks on RTG cranes and report any malfunctions or issues promptly.
- Coordinate with maintenance teams for timely repairs and servicing.
- **Communication and Coordination**:

- Maintain clear communication with control room operators and other terminal personnel to ensure smooth operations.
- Collaborate with ground staff for efficient container movement.
- **Safety and Compliance**:

- Ensure compliance with safety regulations, operating procedures, and guidelines.
- Participate in safety meetings and contribute to continuous improvement in safety practices.
- **Documentation**:

- Maintain accurate records of container movements, equipment inspections, and any incidents.

**Qualifications and Experience**:

- Proven experience as an RTG Operator in a port or terminal environment.
- Valid certifications for RTG crane operation.
- Strong understanding of safety protocols and operational procedures.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work in a team.

**Physical Requirements**:

- Physical fitness for extended periods of sitting and operating controls.
- Ability to work in various weather conditions.
