RESPONSIBILITIES
- Highly skilled in preparing traditional South Indian dishes
- Creating menus that reflect authentic South Indian cuisine while also offering variety and innovation to appeal to modern tastes.
- In-depth knowledge of South Indian spices, herbs, and ingredients, including their traditional uses and potential substitutions
- Ensuring that all food preparation meets safety and hygiene standards, including proper handling, storage, and sanitation practices.
- Supervising kitchen staff, delegating tasks, and ensuring smooth operations during service hours.
- Ability to innovate and create new dishes while staying true to the authenticity of South Indian cuisine.
- Effective communication with kitchen staff, management, and sometimes customers, to ensure efficient operations and customer satisfaction.
- Being able to adapt recipes and cooking techniques to accommodate dietary restrictions or preferences of customers.

Managing time effectively to meet service demands, prep work, and other kitchen responsibilities

Qualifications:

- 3 -5 years experience working in South Indian cuisine-focused kitchens or restaurants.
- Formal culinary training from a recognized culinary school or equivalent experience
- Knowledge of regional variations within South Indian cuisine.
- Familiarity with traditional cooking methods and equipment used in South Indian cuisine.
- Certification in food safety and sanitation practices is often required.
- Strong passion for South Indian cuisine and a commitment to preserving its authenticity while also embracing innovation.
- Location - Kochi, Angamaly. Thrissur, Trivandrum, Munnar, Kuttanellur.
