**About the job**

This is a full-time on-site role in Coimbatore for a System Administrator. The System Administrator will be responsible for day-to-day technical support, troubleshooting, system administration, and network administration.

**Key Responsibilities**

**System Administrator and User Support**:

- Manage and maintain servers, workstations, hardware, software licences, and other IT infrastructure components.
- Perform regular system monitoring to ensure optimal performance and troubleshoot issues as they arise.
- Provide technical support to end-users, including troubleshooting hardware and software problems.
- Assist with user account management, password resets, and access control.
- Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with licensing agreements and asset utilisation.
- Coordinate hardware maintenance contracts and warranties for IT equipment.

**Network Management**:

- Configure and maintain network devices such as routers, switches, and firewalls.
- Monitor network traffic and implement security measures to protect against unauthorised access.
- Troubleshoot network connectivity issues and optimise network performance.

**Software License Management**
- Monitor software licence usage and ensure compliance with licensing agreements.
- Coordinate software licence purchases, renewals, and upgrades as needed.
- Implement software asset management best practices to optimize licence utilisation and reduce costs.

**Procurement and Purchase Management**:

- Coordinate the procurement process for IT hardware, software, and related services.
- Research and evaluate vendors, negotiate contracts, and obtain competitive pricing.
- Generate purchase orders, track orders, and ensure timely delivery of IT equipment and software licenses**.**

**Vendor Management**:

- Develop and maintain relationships with IT vendors and suppliers.
- Coordinate vendor communications, manage service level agreements (SLAs), and resolve vendor-related issues.

**Requirements**:

- Minimum of 1 year of hands-on experience in system administration or a related IT role.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, or a related field such as CT or IT or BCA.
- Proficiency in Windows and/or Linux operating systems
- Basic knowledge of networking concepts and protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP)
- Experience with server administration tasks such as user management, permissions, and group policies
- Familiarity with virtualization technologies such as VMware or Hyper-V
- Ability to troubleshoot hardware and software issues effectively
- Understanding of backup and disaster recovery procedures
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with users and other IT staff

- Working Hours: 9:30 am to 6:30 pm (Monday to Saturday)
- Job Location: Thudiyalur, Coimbatore

**Salary**: ₹15,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
