**Roles and Responsibilities**

**Job description**
- Thorough designing of EM components like starter motor, BLDC motors, alternators, magneto, wiper motor, relays, solenoids, horn etc
- Component drawing release for development.
- Analysis of field issues and horizontal deployment of learnings.
- DFMEA awareness and ability to have a review with Vendors.
- Discussions with vendors for realisation of design.
- Benchmarking and generation of ideas for better performance, quality, cost, weight

**Technical/ Functional Skills**
- Thorough in design knowledge in automotive electromagnetics components.
- Complete understanding of EM component child parts, its material selection.
- Complete knowledge required in vehicle electrical starting and charging system.
- Knowledge of 2D & 3D design tools like UG NX, PLM tools like Team Centre.
- Knowledge in design tools like SPEED, FLUX, Maxwell etc will be added advantage.
- Ability to solve novel, difficult design problems with tight timing constraints.

**Specific Expertise**
