As a member of the Support organization, your focus is to deliver post-sales support and solutions to the Oracle customer base while serving as an advocate for customer needs. This involves resolving post-sales non-technical customer inquiries via phone and electronic means, as well as, technical questions regarding the use of and troubleshooting for our Electronic Support Services. A primary point of contact for customers, you are responsible for facilitating customer relationships with Support and providing advice and assistance to internal Oracle employees on diverse customer situations and escalated issues.

As a Senior Systems Engineer, you will interface with the customer's IT staff on a regular basis. Either at the client's site or from a remote location, you will be responsible for resolution of moderately complex technical problems related to the installation, recommended maintenance and use and repair/workarounds for Oracle products. You should be highly experienced in some Oracle products and several platforms that are being supported. You will be expected to work with only general guidance from management while advising management on progress/status.

**Job Description**:
Key Responsibilities
- Support Hybrid cloud environments
- Administration of cloud services running on OCI
- Install, configure and troubleshoot to resolve and provide any assistance about system problems
- Understand network configuration and assist on configuration and troubleshoot any connectivity issues
- Provide all the necessary assistance to the cloud servers, including security configurations, patching, and troubleshooting. The personnel also helps to maintain system security strategies, policies, and procedures
- Monitors and analyzes the capabilities and performance of the systems
- Good understanding and working knowledge of Oracle fusion middleware products. Able to install, configure and develop components using Oracle middleware products.
- Work with client’s business teams to capture requirements and support integration solutions accordingly.
- Drive the deployment of services in Oracle PaaS/ SaaS Cloud by building new service tool kits. Setting up tools and required infrastructure.
- Identify potential risks, problem areas and develop procedures that provide effective workarounds to the problem at hand.
- Train other oracle resources and guide them as per project needs.
- Serves as advisory for pre-sales activities around integrations areas as needed.
- Works with peers and a matrix of other team members in the business unit to improve products and services delivery and to expand the capabilities of services provided to Oracle customers.
- Assist engineering efforts for building tools including feature evaluation, feature selection, automation of tasks, visualization and integration.
- Accelerate consumption in high potential customer accounts by providing deep technical expertise. Assist in deployment of projects, run and maintain of cloud deployments, Creation and delivery of technical content, with a dedicated focus on Oracle SaaS & PaaS cloud services.
- In this role one will engage with a wide cross section of internal and external stakeholders - development, support, Oracle consulting services, and third party partners to drive Oracle Cloud adoption efforts.

Desired Skills and Experience
- 8+ years of experience working on large-scale IT implementations involving Oracle Database / Fusion Middleware components
- 3+ years of hands on experience with Oracle PaaS products like DBCS, ODI, Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC)
- Strong Unix skills and experience with UNIX like operating systems such as RH Linux, Oracle Linux etc.
- Hands on experience on Oracle DB and FMW products with the ability to install, configure and performance tune
- strong technical knowledge of virtual machines (IaaS), PaaS and Software as a Service (SaaS)
- 3 years + experience of Oracle Database technology as a DBA
- Understanding of high availability and disaster recovery requirements
- Understanding of Server consolidation and DB re-platforming
- Understanding of Database and Cloud security implementation
- Must have excellent analytical, problem solving, communication and presentation skills
- Working knowledge of open-source technologies and cloud services
- Oracle Cloud Architect Certifications are required
