RCM-Medical Billing / Process Associate

Duties include:
*The medical billing specialist serves as the department expert in regards to all billing that is processed for the department of Internal medicine and cardio.
- To ensure that all patient demographic information (like Patient’s name, DOB, Gender, address and Payer details) is accurate and complete and request any missing patient information.
- Duties include : ensuring charge entry and coding is correct, submitting charges via billing system daily. The medical billing specialist resolves unsettled items and assists in the recovery of denials relative to patient accounts and participates in supporting the revenue cycle. Collects all necessary information for proper charge entry and billing, reconciles data that goes across the interface in billing batches, CPT codes or correct missing/incorrect elements to submit electronic billing.
- *Should have knowledge of Co-Pay, Co-ins, Deductible and out of pocket.
- Strong knowledge of Medical billing concepts and having experience of it
- Should have knowledge to identify different plans of payers.
- Good communication and understanding to call payers for EVBV benefits.
- Should know about CMS and Medicaid and commercial plans and how its works
*To work with personal information and maintain patient confidentiality.
*To follow and adhere to all regulations and guidelines set by state programs, and HMO/PPO, etc.
*Must be familiar with CPT and the latest coding guidelines.
*To develop and maintain a tracking system of incoming and late payments.
*Should be competent enough to use computer systems, software, and calculators and excel.
*Should possess good verbal and written communication skills.
*Should be comfortable to be a part of the team and work in a team environment.
*Conduct duties in a professional and timely fashion
Qualifications: Any Graduation (B.Sc, M.Sc, B.Pharm, M.Pharm Preferred) with fundamental skills

Eligibility Criteria : min 6 months to 2 year of experience in US healthcare department.
