As a Senior R&D Engineer specializing in residential water purifiers, you'll be pivotal in driving innovation and excellence in our product development endeavors. Leveraging your expertise in water purification technology, you'll lead and contribute to various facets of the R&D process, from concept to commercialization. Additionally, you'll spearhead the R&D lab, ensuring its seamless operation and facilitating a culture of excellence within the team.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Lead R&D projects focused on residential water purifiers, collaborating cross-functionally to develop robust product specifications and design concepts.
2. Lead the R&D lab in Bangalore, overseeing its operations and fostering an environment of innovation and excellence within the team.
3. Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and team members, driving continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product performance and reliability.
4. Stay abreast of industry developments, emerging technologies, and regulatory requirements related to water purification, integrating relevant insights into our product development strategy.
5. Conduct comprehensive root cause analysis and troubleshoot product issues, implementing effective resolutions to ensure optimal product performance.
6. Collaborate with external partners, suppliers, and research institutions to leverage their expertise and capabilities in advancing our R&D objectives.
7. Support the seamless transfer of new products from R&D to production, ensuring efficient integration and scale-up processes.
What we need:
1. Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Production Engineering, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in R&D roles with at least 3 years of experience in the residential water purifier industry, demonstrating a track record of successful product development and commercialization.
3. Deep understanding of water purification technologies, including RO (Reverse Osmosis), UV (Ultraviolet), and filtration systems, along with knowledge of water quality standards and regulations.
4. Proficiency in CAD software and other engineering tools for product design and development is preferred
5. Experience in project management, stakeholder management, and cross-functional collaboration, showcasing strong analytical skills and problem-solving abilities.
6. Ability to thrive in a dynamic startup environment, demonstrating resourcefulness and adaptability in overcoming challenges.
