**Position Summary**

Bechtel is seeking a Process Engineer Group Supervisor (EGS) to join the Process and System engineering department within the Manufacturing and Technology Business Unit (M&T).

**Typical Responsibilities**
- Manages a team of process engineers and designers for the delivery of project deliverables (PFDs/UFDs, HMB, equipment sizing, selection and specification, PSVs, etc.) within the agreed job hour budgets and schedules.
- Applies broad and diversified knowledge of engineering principles and practices to project engineering specifically in Chemical Engineering.
- Makes decisions independently concerning problems on the project.
- Maintains contact with client representatives as directed, with suppliers, appropriate field personnel, Project Engineers, and Engineering disciplines to ensure the coordination of the design within the project or assignment and compliance with Bechtel/client requirements.
- Attends client meetings as the Lead Process Engineer and presents project design, status, and schedule.
- Accountable for coordination of engineering activities, in accordance with the established technical quality standards, cost, and schedule.
- Coordinates clear scope definition with the client and home office engineering teams ensuring design documents reflect project scope definition.
- Manages scope change and coordination of changes with client and home office engineering teams.
- Ensures design deliverables are in accordance with applicable industry standards and codes, accepted design practices, project specifications, and quality standards for a global business unit.
- Executes process engineering deliverables according to a set engineering design criteria utilizing approved engineering procedures, practices, and standards.
- Prepares, coordinates, and reviews designs, studies, reports, and proposals.
- Takes the initiative to coordinate the detailed design development of a system with other engineering disciplines while managing workload and meeting schedule due dates.
- Determines engineering scope and sets up an engineering work plan for the discipline on complex projects for FEED and/or EPC phase.
- Maintains the technical quality of all process deliverables issued on the project.
- Manages and leads complex technical discussions with third parties (customer, licensors, suppliers, and regulators) in order to facilitate appropriate technical decisions.
- Identifies issues (problems, value improvement opportunities) and help clarify areas of complexity during all phases of the engineering design work.
- Understands multi-disciplinary technical issues and is able to provide innovative technical solutions to resolve these issues.
- Represents the process engineering discipline and is able to explain process design questions to clients and other disciplines.
- Mentor designers and drafters by providing appropriate on-the-job training for their professional development.

**Skills and Qualifications**

**Basic Qualifications**
- Prior experience in executing Process Engineering works in EPC projects.
- Familiarity with major regulations and industry codes and standards (i.e. API Standards, ASME, etc.) affecting standard design, quality or processes.
- Experience in developing/checking overall plant and unit simulations using standard process simulation programs (Hysys, Pro II, Unisim, and/or Promax), including development of H&MBs.
- Experience in developing/checking Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs) and Utility Flow Diagrams (UFDs).
