**Job Title: Staff Nurse - Eye Hospital Department: Nursing**

**Reports to**: Senior Ophthalmologist

**Location**: Gumla, Jharkhand

**Key Responsibilities:Clinical Duties**:

- Assist ophthalmologists during eye examinations and minor procedures.
- Prepare patients for diagnostic tests such as visual acuity tests, IOP measurements, and imaging.
- Administer prescribed eye medications (e.g., eye drops, ointments, injections).
- Monitor vital signs and general health status of patients.
- Manage pre-operative and post-operative care for patients undergoing eye surgeries (e.g., cataract, glaucoma, retinal procedures).
- Maintain sterile environments during surgical procedures.
- Provide emergency first aid for ocular trauma or acute vision problems.

**Administrative & Documentation**:

- Maintain accurate and timely nursing records (patient history, medication charting, care notes).
- Assist with patient admissions, discharges, and follow-up appointments.
- Ensure all instruments and equipment are sterilized and in working order.
- Adhere to hospital protocols, including infection control and waste management.

**Patient Care & Education**:

- Educate patients and caregivers on post-operative care and use of eye medications.
- Provide emotional support to patients undergoing vision-related issues.
- Offer counseling on eye hygiene and preventive eye care practices.

**Team Collaboration**:

- Coordinate with doctors, optometrists, and support staff for patient care.
- Participate in case discussions and contribute to care plans.
- Attend regular training and CME sessions related to ophthalmic nursing.

**Required Qualifications & Skills**:

- **Education**: Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (ANM/GNM/B.Sc. Nursing)
- **Registration**: Valid Nursing Council Registration
- **Skills**:

- Strong knowledge of ophthalmic procedures
- Manual dexterity for assisting in microsurgeries
- Good communication and patient handling skills
- Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMRs)

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹5,000.00 - ₹10,000.00 per month
