Role purpose
Responsible for managing a team to lead Supplier and Asset accounting team which includes Asset accounting Intercompany dealer commissions and accounts payable Responsible to implement a robust and control driven processes including reconciliation of the systems and balance sheets
Understand the SOX controls requirement and have an appetite to establish a compliance environment
Be accountable for the end to end Supplier and Asset accounting team including Asset accounting Purchase to Payment dealer commissions and Intercompany including controls functions
Implement and drive quality standard frameworks and ensure that high levels of quality accounting are maintained including alignment with global best practices
To deliver reporting internal to Finance Operations as well as for Business Partners
Participate in and manage Projects wherever appropriate
Adopt a proactive approach for issue resolution and to prevent problems from arising in the future
Responsible to recruit coach develop and do performance management of the team towards a high performance team
Responsible for succession plans for the team
The ability to work within a team environment towards the achievement of pre-defined objectives with a focus on
Service levels
Month-end half year and year end period closures
Balance sheet reconciliations
Responsible for a strong control environment ensuring compliance to all relevant Group policies and SOX controls
Provide support in statutory and internal audit and resolution of key audit observations
Actively look for possibilities to standardize simplify digitize processes
Drive change management in an Agile manner for the team
Build and maintain strong relationships with all key stakeholders
Besides the tasks listed item by item in the within the framework of the position determined in the employment contract the Employee is obliged to fulfill tasks as well of which his her line manager instructs him her to fulfill
Communicating for Impact Strong communication skills and the ability to convey information both within and outside the Finance arena Ability to interact and influence at all levels
Proven experience in Asset accounting and Purchase to pay
Must have Technical Professional
Qualified Chartered Accountant with 12 post qualification
Proven experience in Asset accounting and Purchase to pay
Fluency in English
Excellent team management skills
Advanced Excel SAP S4 Hana knowledge must
Good analytical and problem solving skills
Ability to challenge the status-quo in a mature and sophisticated manner
