Should have a law degree and 4-8 years relevant experience in the construction industry, preferably working with multinational construction industry companies._
- Responsibilities_
- _Responsible for reviewing a full range of contracts and associated documents. _
- _Providing clear and concise feedback on contract risks and conduct follow up calls with colleagues to discuss, where required in a timely manner._
- _Proactively managing and leading negotiations._
- _Establishing and maintaining good professional relationships with the business, as well as with external parties such as clients and their legal counsel._
- _Maintain appropriate awareness of the legislative and regulatory environment relating to key aspects of WSP’s current operations._
- Qualifications_
- Qualified lawyer with 4 to 8 years legal experience developed by working in a reputable law firm or in an in-house legal team specialising in construction law._
- _Proficient in English (oral and written)._
- _Experienced in negotiating complex commercial agreements. _
- _Highly developed communication skills._
- _Ability to act commercially and to appropriately balance commercial and operational imperatives with legal risk._
- _Ability to work as a member of a team and bring to the team initiative, energy and enthusiasm._
- _Ability to work independently and report to manager as required._
- _Exposure to Middle East clients desirable._
