Job Description**Job Description: Junior Resident/ Resident Medical Officer**

**BU**: Max Super Speciality Hospital, Noida **Reporting: Consultant, Transfusion Medicine**

**Role**:To ensure smooth functioning of the Department of Transfusion Medicine under the guidance of consultant.

**Responsibilities and key tasks**

**Patient/ Donor Care**

1.To provide quality clinical care for patients.

2. To ensure proper voluntary blood donor screening and maintain correct workflow to provide a seamless experience for blood donors.

3. To assist with/undertake clinical procedures as directed

**Job Knowledge**

4.Basic clinical knowledge with an interest in Transfusion Medicine.

**Process Orientation/ Documentation**

5. Proper donor screening

6. Phlebotomy and blood donation with associated documentation

7. Collection of specialized blood products(eg. platelets/leucocytes) via apheresis

8. Timely identification and prompt treatment of adverse donor reactions if any.

9. Clinically oriented and willing to learn advanced procedures of therapeutic apheresis practice.

10. Able to communicate in an effective manner with donors and patients alike.

0-4 years in Transfusion Medicine department of a hospital with adequate volume of workload.
