Automation Tester

**Position Overview**:
**Responsibilities**:
**Automated Test Script Development**: Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using industry-standard testing tools and frameworks. These scripts should cover functional, regression, and performance testing scenarios.

**Test Planning and Strategy**: Collaborate with the QA team, developers, and product managers to create comprehensive test plans and strategies for different software projects.

**Test Execution**: Execute automated test scripts and analyze test results to identify defects and ensure adherence to quality standards.

**Defect Identification and Reporting**: Clearly document defects and issues discovered during testing and ensure timely communication with the development team for resolution.

**Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD)**: Integrate automated tests into the CI/CD pipeline to facilitate continuous testing and delivery of software products.

**Test Environment Setup**: Work closely with the infrastructure team to set up and maintain test environments, ensuring they are properly configured for testing purposes.

**Test Data Management**: Create and manage test data to support automated test execution and ensure data integrity throughout the testing process.

**Test Automation Framework Development**: Contribute to the improvement and evolution of the test automation framework to enhance efficiency, scalability, and maintainability.

**Performance Testing**: Collaborate with performance testing teams to design and execute performance and load tests to ensure the software's stability and responsiveness.

**Test Documentation**: Prepare and maintain test documentation, including test cases, test scripts, test results, and other relevant reports.

**Collaboration and Teamwork**: Actively participate in team meetings, stand-ups, and reviews, providing valuable insights and constructive feedback to enhance the overall quality of the product.

**Requirements**:

- **Education**: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- **Experience**: Proven experience as an Automation Tester or similar role with a track record of successful automated test script development and execution.
- **Technical Skills**: Proficiency in programming languages commonly used in test automation, such as Java, Python, C#, or JavaScript. Familiarity with test automation tools and frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Appium, TestNG, JUnit, etc.).
- **Testing Knowledge**: Strong understanding of software testing principles, methodologies, and best practices. Familiarity with various types of testing, including functional, regression, and performance testing.
- **CI/CD and Version Control**: Experience with CI/CD pipelines and version control systems (e.g., Jenkins, Git) to integrate automated tests into the development workflow.
- **Analytical Thinking**: Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to analyze test results, identify root causes, and provide actionable recommendations for improvement.
- **Attention to Detail**: Meticulous and detail-oriented when creating test scripts and documenting defects.
- **Communication Skills**: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- **Adaptability**: Able to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing project requirements and priorities.
- **Quality Advocate**: Passionate about ensuring the delivery of high-quality software products to end-users.

**Preferred (but not mandatory)**:

- **Certifications**: Relevant testing certifications, such as ISTQB Foundation Level or Certified Selenium Tester (CST).
- **Domain Knowledge**: Familiarity with the industry or domain in which the organization operates can be advantageous.
