Mobile App Tester

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Collaborate with the development team to understand project requirements and timelines.
- Create comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts for various mobile platforms (iOS, Android).
- Define test objectives and success criteria for each testing phase.
- Verify the functionality, UI/UX, and compatibility of apps on different devices and screen sizes.
- Execute regression testing to ensure that new updates do not introduce new issues.
- Document and prioritize defects, including detailed steps to reproduce issues.
- Collaborate with developers to provide clear and actionable bug reports.
- Verify and close resolved issues and retest them as needed.
- Set up and configure test devices, emulators, and simulators for testing.
- Ensure test environments are representative of the target user base.
- Maintain up-to-date test documentation, including test cases and test results.
- Report on testing progress, test coverage, and defect statistics to stakeholders.
- Develop and maintain automated test scripts using relevant tools and frameworks (e.g., Appium, XCTest, Espresso).
- Integrate automated testing into the continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipeline.
- Conduct performance testing to evaluate app responsiveness, load times, and resource utilization.
- Identify and report performance bottlenecks and recommend optimizations.
- Participate in security testing efforts to identify vulnerabilities and potential threats.
- Report security findings and work with the development team to address them.
- Provide feedback on usability, user experience, and overall app quality.

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field (preferred).
- Proven experience in mobile app testing, including manual and automated testing.
- Familiarity with testing tools and frameworks such as Appium, XCTest, Espresso, or similar.
- Strong understanding of mobile platforms (iOS and Android).
- Knowledge of mobile app development processes and best practices.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work in an Agile development environment.
- Experience with performance and security testing is a plus.
- ISTQB or similar certifications are a bonus.
