**I. PURPOSE OF THE JOB**
- Perform variety of technical duties in mechanical machine assembly (repair, modification, installation, testing, calibration and assembly) in order to make sure that all equipment and machines are assembled & ready to run properly.
- Responsible for making sure that all mechanical systems/parts are maintained properly.
- Knows the machine assembly techniques very well & starts the machine assembly from beginning.
- Later on coach, guide & handles a team of people to assemble the machines.
- Maintain all documentations required for the assembly work & inventory management.

**II.** **MAJOR ACTIVITIES / PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITY**
- Carryout machine/equipment assembly operation as per the assembly drawings & as per Bekaert standards keeping **“Safety First”** in mind,
- Diagnose malfunctioning and take appropriate to make the machine running right in first time.
- Maintain all machines/equipments in the shop clean & orderly condition.
- Maintain records of all assembly, calibrations, various test results & procedures of assembly.
- Keep all the manuals & records filed properly.
- Collect data è analyse it è propose action to improve the assembly operation in future.
- Check contractor’s work done for supplied sub-assemblies.
- Maintain parts inventory to support assembly operation in coordination with store person.
- Prepare the issue slips for spares regularly & bring the data into the SAP system.
- Receive & inspect the incoming parts.
- Revamping & upgrading machines as & when required.
- Support installation of production machines.
- In future coach, guide & handles a team of people to assemble the various types of machines.

**III. SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE**
- A very good machine assembly knowledge & ready to work with own hands.
- Proficient in reading & interpreting machine assembly drawings & schematics for various sub-sub assembly levels.
- Able to read mechanical drawings with European standards & familiar with engineering norms.
- Good knowledge of GD & T for various machine components fittings.
- Good knowledge of pneumatics, bearings, transmissions, gears, shafts & various mechanical fittings.
- Able to use & guide on various machine assembly modern tools & equipments to have a good perfect machine assembly. Like bearing mounting devices, pulling devices, special jigs & fixtures, machine tools like drill, press, grinding machine required for assembly.
- In depth knowledge of mechanical principle of machines & equipments along with related pneumatic circuits.
- Good knowledge about the pneumatic systems & circuits.
- Administration (organise spare parts, filing system, record keeping, report writing)
- Able to repair pneumatic circuits.
- Through knowledge of function of the machine.
- Sound knowledge of quality of materials of parts & working principle of parts.
- Proficient in technical drawings ( read, interpret & make)
- Basic knowledge of electricity & electronics
