**Software Engineer for IT** - Job Description**

**The Role**

As a software engineer, you will be involved in the full project life cycle for developing IT tools as part of the **Client Engineering** global team.

**Job Functions**
- Participate in full project life cycle (including requirement analysis, system design, development, and support if required)
- Support and work collaboratively with teams across areas of design, development, quality assurance and operations
- Attend meetings to discuss and demonstrate solutions at both a technical and business level
- Collaborate with team members to improve the company's engineering tools, systems and procedures and data security.
- Conduct systems tests for security, performance, and availability.
- Develop and script various tasks / routines that will be used for automation & orchestration in our desktop environment.
- Prepare and provide documentation for all automation solutions delivered

**Qualifications**:
**Primary Skills**
- 3-6 years of experience as a Python or PowerShell developer.
- Expert knowledge of Python and web related frameworks.
- Experience working with a variety of APIs and RESTful interfaces
- Strong programming basics, with a clear understanding of Object-Oriented Programming.
- Strong knowledge in SQL.
- Must have Windows based power shell scripting knowledge
- Environment support / troubleshooting
- Good technical writing, presentation and documentation skills.
- Self-starter with the ability to manage projects and other tasks under mínimal supervision.
- Experience working in a team-oriented, global, collaborative environment.
