Position Summary
Fast path packet processing, data plane engineer to work on 5G/4G/2G fast path module development and optimization on UPF/PGW/BTS-BSC
Role and Responsibilities
Design & development of fast path/data plane/User plane Software for next generation 4G/5G systems on PGW/UPF
Work on DPDK and Vector packet processing (VPP), Cloud Native Network Function (CNF)
Performance profiling and tuning software on different architectures
Cavium Network processor based system analysis/maintenance, design & development
Analyze the new requirements from operators, make impact analysis, work on design, implementation and testing of the feature
Fix the field reported issues in the ongoing PKG development cycle.
Analyze SIT/SVT PKG issues and fix them as needed
Skills and Qualifications
Should have very good C programming skills
Knowledge of Intel DPDK, VPP is must.
Good understanding of Operating System concepts and x86 architecture
Should have good data structure/algorithm skills
Should have good understanding of networking domain and TCP/IP protocols
Good team player and curiosity to learn
Knowledge of any network packet processing system, 4G/5G Network is highly recommended
- Typically requires at least 8 years of related experience and a Bachelor's degree; or 6 years and a Master's degree; or a PhD with 3 years
