**Job Description**:

- Prepare production plan for Hull production based on inputs from business development and in co-ordination with other related departments.
- Manage the project by monitoring the progress on a day-to-day basis and ensure the project progress as per the plan.
- Ensure cost effectiveness in Production by optimal use of resources and avoid the reworks and delay. Prepare the root cause analysis report and evolve corrective measures and document.
- Achieve cycle time reduction by implementing various quality and production improvement measures.
- Plan and prepare the shop layout and production flow process for all vessels.
- Prepare the shops for production with appropriate planning on jigs and fixture requirement, infrastructural facility requirement and resource requirement.
- Do course correction in case of project delay and/or cost over-run.Plan and prepare a standard Plan-Do-Check
- Act (PDCA) flow chart for the hull production process in line with the MHI methodology and incorporate checklists and templates to standardize the process of production
- Maintain safety standards in the shop floor and ensure all employees, including contractors’ employee adhere to the process.
- Develop and manage the training needs of Subordinates as per PODP/ functional requirement
- Manage the cost in production processes as per the budgets and by timely execution of various activities in shipbuilding.
