**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Financial Reporting and Compliance**:

- Oversee the preparation and presentation of accurate financial statements in accordance with GAAP/IFRS.
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations, tax laws, and internal control procedures.
- Coordinate annual audits and liaise with external auditors.
- Maintain integrity of financial reporting and accounting records.
- **Accounting Operations**:

- Manage day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, payroll, and treasury functions.
- Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the organization’s accounting processes.
- Ensure timely month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes.
- **Budgeting and Forecasting**:

- Lead the development of budgets, forecasts, and financial plans in collaboration with senior management.
- Provide financial analysis and insights to support decision-making and strategic initiatives.
- Monitor financial performance against budgets and provide regular updates to stakeholders.
- **Internal Controls and Risk Management**:

- Design and maintain an effective system of internal controls to safeguard assets and mitigate risks.
- Conduct risk assessments and implement strategies to minimize financial risk.
- **Team Leadership and Development**:

- Lead, mentor, and develop the accounting team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional growth.
- Evaluate and recommend the adoption of new technologies and tools to improve accounting efficiency.
- **Strategic Partnerships and Business Development**:

- Collaborate with other members of the executive team to align financial strategies with overall business goals.
- Provide financial leadership in strategic initiatives such as mergers, acquisitions, and business expansions.
- **Stakeholder Communication**:

- Prepare and present financial reports and analyses to the board of directors, investors, and other key stakeholders.
- Work with external stakeholders, including banks, investors, and regulatory bodies, on financial matters.

**Qualifications**:

- **Education**: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- **Certifications**: CPA, CA, or equivalent professional qualification.
- **Experience**: 10+ years of accounting experience, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
