**Job Description for Outreach Coordinator**

**Organisation details**:Door Step School (DSS) is a non-profit working for the primary education of children from marginalised communitities in the cities of Mumbai and Pune. Since 1989, DSS has impacted the lives of more than 1 million children through its community and school intervention programs. Volunteers play an important role as they are the role models for our children and give them exposure to new thoughts and ideas. Similarly, considering the advantages of Social media, it has become imperative that social sector organisations leverage the benefits to increase reach and visibility. Hence the need for a dedicated resource to manage these activities.

**Position**: Outreach Coordinator.

Looking for a dynamic and energetic Volunteer and Social Media Coordinator to manage end to end activities. The coordinator should
- 1. Engage volunteers productively by matching their skills and interests to the requirements at

DSS to achieve expected outcomes.

2. Drive DSS social media platforms to increase reach and visibility

**Responsibilites**
**Volunteer Engagement**
- Understand volunteer requirements at DSS
- Plan volunteering activities / events at DSS or Corporates
- Plan how to engage volunteers across DSS projects and functions
- Source and recruit volunteers
- Conduct regular orientation sessions for volunteers
- Maintain volunteer database
- Maintain volunteer timelog and activity tracker
- Evaluate volunteers' work, give feedback
- Ensure volunteers feel connected to DSS
- Disemmination of all important information to volunteers -DSS updates, volunteer requirements, donation appeals etc
- Arrange for volunteer training if required
- Understand volunteer feedback and communicate with DSS team and vice-versa
- Create reports to update about volunteer engagement activity
- Visitor engagement
- Other administrative and management duties as assigned

**Social Media**
- Coordinate for content and photographs from respective project POCs
- Translate content or get it translated
- Share it for review
- Publish content on blog and SM
- Update content / photographs on website
- Make blog and SM plan - annual / 6 monthly / monthly
- 1 blog per week
- 2 SM posts per week
- Share requirements with DSS POCs in advance
- Create pipeline of content
- Plan content in the form of write ups / posts / photo essays / videos / testimonial bites etc

**Requirements**:

- Great interpersonal and communication skills
- Good written and verbal communication in English
- Speak, read - Marathi and Hindi
- Able to multitask
- Open to learn and explore new things
- Technologically oriented
- MS office - Word, Excel, Powerpoint; Google drive, Calendar etc
- Graduate / post graduate with atleast 2 years experience in administration. Previous experience in related activities will be preferred.

**Other details**
- CTC - 20k to 25k (monthly)
- 6 days working

The Outreach Coordinator will work closely with the Fundraising and Outreach Associate Director.
There is ample opportunity to learn for a person who is curious and open to learning, unlearning and relearning.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: ₹20,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
