- Act as a liaison between the construction site, project management team, and stakeholders to communicate progress and address delays or issues.
- Attend project meetings to provide schedule updates and reports.
- **Resource Allocation & Management**:
- Allocate resources, including labor, materials, and equipment, within the schedule to ensure project milestones are met.
- Monitor resource availability and utilization to avoid conflicts or bottlenecks.
- **Risk & Delay Analysis**:
- Identify potential risks to the schedule and develop mitigation strategies.
- Perform delay analysis and recommend corrective actions to keep the project on track.
- Evaluate time impact of changes in project scope or delays and assess their impact on the schedule.
- **Reporting & Documentation**:
- Prepare regular progress reports for internal and external stakeholders, including clients, project managers, and senior management.
- Ensure documentation of all project scheduling activities and decisions for future reference or audits.
- **Budget & Cost Control**:
- Assist in monitoring project budgets in relation to time and resources.
- Coordinate with cost controllers to align scheduling with budgetary goals and financial forecasting.
- **Compliance & Standards**:
- Ensure all schedules and related planning activities comply with industry standards, project specifications, and company policies.
- Maintain awareness of safety and regulatory standards to ensure compliance in planning.
**Qualifications**:
- **Education**: Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, construction management, or a related field.
- **Experience**: 3-5 years of experience in construction planning or project control roles, preferably in the construction industry.
- **Software**: Proficient in project scheduling tools such as Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, and other relevant software.
- **Skills**:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to multitask and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
**Preferred Qualifications**:
- Certification in project management (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2).
- Experience in large-scale construction projects or specialized areas (e.g., infrastructure, residential, commercial projects).
