**Job Description Summary**: As a Research Intern in the Mechanics and Design Organization, you will work with the Research & Engineering teams in the design, analysis, testing, and validation of systems/ components aerospace turbomachinery systems. You will have opportunity to learn hands-on and contribute to development of creative and impactful technologies for improved aero engine components. This role will have a tenure of 6-9 months, enabling ownership and execution of a substantial and impactful assigned project.

**Work on 1-2 research projects over 6-9 months in a discipline aligned to your expertise**:

**Collaborate with diverse teams to develop**innovative**technologies for GE Aerospace**:
**Receive technical insights, mentorship, and coaching from world-class technologists**:
**Share project progress internally and externally through presentations, written reports, and IP disclosure**:
**Required Qualifications**:

- ** Pursuing PhD or Master’s in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Applied Mechanics, or Structural Dynamics**:** Strong fundamentals, domain knowledge and analytical skills**:** Execution mindset, self-driven with a sense of urgency**:** Excellent interpersonal and communication skills in a global team environment**:
**Desired Characteristics**:

- ** Shown**expertise in the fields of structural mechanics, dynamics, vibration and damping or in the areas of composites modeling and characterization**:
**Good track record through top-notch publications and experience of working in applied research labs in the above areas**:
