Position Overview:
As a Nursing Coordinator at [Hospital Name], you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient operation of our nursing department. You will oversee the day-to-day activities of the nursing staff, coordinate patient care services, and collaborate with other healthcare professionals to maintain the highest standards of patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
Staff Management:
Supervise and mentor nursing staff, including registered nurses, licensed practical nurses, and nursing assistants.
Coordinate staffing schedules to ensure adequate coverage for all shifts and units.
Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback to team members.
Facilitate staff training and development programs to enhance clinical skills and knowledge.
Patient Care Coordination:
Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare providers to develop and implement individualized care plans for patients.
Monitor patient outcomes and intervene as necessary to ensure optimal care and patient satisfaction.
Address patient and family concerns and provide support during difficult situations.
Oversee the implementation of infection control protocols and other safety measures to prevent healthcare-associated infections.
Quality Improvement:
Participate in quality improvement initiatives and assist in the development of evidence-based nursing practices.
Conduct regular audits of nursing procedures and documentation to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and hospital policies.
Identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions to enhance the quality of care delivery.
Administrative Duties:
Maintain accurate records of patient admissions, discharges, and transfers.
Assist in the development and implementation of nursing policies and procedures.
Collaborate with other department heads to optimize workflow and resource utilization.
Prepare reports and presentations for hospital leadership on nursing department performance and initiatives.
Qualifications:
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required; Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) preferred.
Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Tamilnadu.
Minimum of 5 years of clinical nursing experience, with 8 years of experience in a leadership or supervisory role.
Strong communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
Demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities effectively.
