**Job Overview**:
**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Welding**: Perform TIG welding on heavy machinery components, including structural and fabricated parts, according to technical drawings and specifications.
- **Preparation**: Prepare metal surfaces for welding by cleaning, grinding, and positioning components as required.
- **Inspection**: Conduct visual and dimensional inspections of welds to ensure they meet quality standards and adhere to project specifications.
- **Technical Expertise**: Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and welding symbols to execute precise welds.
- **Maintenance**: Maintain welding equipment and tools in good working condition, performing routine maintenance and troubleshooting as needed.
- **Safety**: Follow all safety protocols and regulations to maintain a safe work environment, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and safe handling of materials.

**Qualifications**:

- **Experience**: Proven experience as a TIG Welder in a heavy machinery or fabrication setting.
- **Technical Skills**: Advanced proficiency in TIG welding techniques, with a strong understanding of welding materials and processes.
- **Certifications**: Relevant welding certifications and training, such as AWS (American Welding Society) certification or equivalent, are preferred.
- **Skills**: Ability to work from technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics. Strong attention to detail and precision in welding tasks.
- **Attributes**: Excellent problem-solving skills, reliability, and a strong work ethic. Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
