**Role description**:
**About the Role**:
UST is looking for a Scrum Master & Offshore Project Coordinator to lead agile delivery for a dynamic and distributed IT team. This role is critical in supporting the core data engineering scrum team while coordinating with other delivery units (QA, DevOps, Tech BAs, Data Analysts). You will work closely with the onshore Project Manager and Client Tech BAs to drive timely and quality-focused project execution in a multi-vendor, offshore-onshore setup.

**Key Responsibilities**:
Scrum Master Duties
- Facilitate core Agile ceremonies: Sprint Planning, Daily Standups, Reviews, Retrospectives.
- Coach the development team on Agile/Scrum best practices, fostering a continuous improvement culture.
- Track and manage sprint progress, velocity, burn-down, and resolve blockers.
- Collaborate with Product Owner and Tech BA to refine and manage backlogs and sprint goals.
- Use Agile metrics to identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and quality issues.
- Lead data-informed retrospectives and drive actionable improvements.
- Implement and maintain dashboards for team performance visualization.
- Proactively manage sprint risks related to timeline, scope, or deliverables.

Project Coordination Duties
- Coordinate delivery across the offshore team, aligning activities with business and IT goals.
- Work with cross-functional teams, including other Scrum teams, QA, and DevOps.
- Monitor and ensure timely offshore deliverables, while managing dependencies and risks.
- Track and maintain project action items, delivery timelines, and support release planning.
- Report on offshore team progress and escalate issues as needed.

Stakeholder & Cross-Team Collaboration
- Act as the main liaison between offshore team and onshore Project Manager.
- Enable seamless communication between onshore/offshore teams, ensuring aligned expectations.
- Provide regular status updates, sprint metrics, and delivery milestones to stakeholders.
- Support scope/timeline adjustments and drive issue resolution in collaboration with Tech BAs and Product Owners.

**Required Skills & Experience**:

- 6+ years of experience in IT project delivery, including 2+ years as a Scrum Master.
- Proven experience in multi-vendor, distributed agile teams.
- Strong knowledge of Agile/Scrum frameworks and associated delivery metrics.
- Exposure to DevOps practices (CI/CD pipelines, release planning).
- Experience managing data-oriented projects (e.g., BI, Analytics, DataOps).
- Skilled in tools such as Jira, Confluence; familiarity with Snowflake is a plus.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Hands-on experience in offshore-onshore collaboration (preferably US/UK-based teams).

**Education & Certifications**:

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or equivalent - required.
- PMP or Agile PM certifications - preferred.
