**Job Summary**

**Key Responsibilities**
**- Transaction Management**: Process customer purchases using a point-of-sale (POS) system, accepting payments via cash, credit/debit cards, UPI (e.g., GPay, PhonePe), or vouchers. Issue receipts and provide accurate change.
**- Customer Service**: Greet customers warmly, answer queries about products (e.g., saree fabrics, customization options), and offer recommendations to enhance their shopping experience. Handle returns, exchanges, or refunds per store policies.
**- Cash Handling**: Count money in cash drawers at the start and end of shifts to ensure accuracy. Report discrepancies and maintain adequate change.
**- Upselling & Promotions**: Promote new collections (e.g., festive lehengas, bridal sarees) and inform customers about discounts, loyalty programs, or special offers.
**- Team Collaboration**: Work closely with sales staff and report to the Store Manager to ensure smooth operations. Provide feedback on customer preferences to improve product displays or promotions.
**- Compliance**: Adhere to store policies, including pricing accuracy, refund procedures, and safety protocols. Maintain confidentiality of financial transactions.

**Qualifications & Skills**
**- Education**: Minimum high school diploma or equivalent (12th pass).
**- Experience**: 1 -2 years of experience as a cashier or in retail/customer service. Experience in fashion retail (e.g., ethnic wear) is a plus but not mandatory.

**- Skills**:
◦ Basic math and cash-handling skills for accurate transactions.
◦ Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage with customers, especially women aged 25-55, interested in premium Indian wear.
◦ Familiarity with POS systems, UPI apps, and card machines.
◦ Attention to detail to avoid pricing or transaction errors.
◦ Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle peak hours (e.g., festive seasons like Diwali).
◦ Fluency in English and Hindi; knowledge of Marathi or Gujarati is an advantage for local customer interactions.
**- Attributes**: Friendly, reliable, honest, and customer-focused. Ability to remain calm under pressure, such as during high-traffic periods or customer complaints.
**- Physical Requirements**: Ability to stand for extended periods, bend, and lift up to 10-15 kg (e.g., for moving gift boxes or saree packages).

**Work Hours**
**- Schedule**: 6 days/week, (Mon-Sat: 10:30 AM-9:00 PM).
**- Availability**: Willingness to work weekends and peak periods (e.g., wedding season, Diwali).
