The Product Owner enables and inspire a multi-disciplinary team ('Squad') to pursue its mission, by guiding them on 'what' work should be completed by the squad and constantly prioritises tasks and the squad’s backlog - with the customer at the heart of their decision making. In this role you will ensure that the work is strategically aligned to the tribe mission and engage with other Product Owners to align and manage interdependencies. Whilst this role is not a people manager, it is a key leadership role, galvanising the squad around a vision and supporting them to successfully deliver customer value at pace.

**As a product owner, you would have the opportunity to**:
Create, build and manage a team to deliver on a product roadmap and vision
Prioritise, sequence and maintain the Product Backlog, working with multiple streams of delivery to streamline robust change across the asset
Convey the vision and goals at the beginning of every Release and Sprint and ensure the Squad remains aligned to these
Engage programme managers and stakeholders to ensure the Squad is building the right product and course corrects if needed
Liaise with tribe leads and other PO's to ensure the squad has the right amount of support required to succeed
Actively participate in daily standups, Sprint Planning, Showcases and Retrospective ceremonies.
Use metrics to ensure feedback from customers is captured as well as continually reviews product progress
Co-develop the squad mission with the Product Area Lead and refine the mission where required and unify the squad to support the mission and its delivery
Remove roadblocks and manage alignment and interdependencies with other product owners or teams/squads
What will you bring?
Demonstrated leadership skills with 10+ years managing core systems and delivering complex change. There are multiple streams funnelling into the assets and strong experience required to drive decision making across the end to end lifecycle (requirements, design, engineering, support).
Knowledge of Salesforce engineering and Customer Servicing in order to make business and system sense of the requirements, manage the vendor and guide the prioritization process.
Knowledge of the overall ANZ ecosystem and understanding of the dependent tech areas in order to be able to comprehend blockers and the required negotiation skills to work with other areas to eliminate them.
Knowledge of Institutional is preferred in order to help prioritization and ensure that the customer needs can be articulated right and the system options are well understood
Deep expertise on the engineering, delivery, Institutional products
Ability to galvanise a diverse group of people around a common mission
Ability to adapt and grasp new skills and content.
Proven analytical skills and evidence based decision making
Deep expertise on Risk and Solution Design
Proven ability to innovate and adapt to latest development in area of expertise
