We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role **AVP - Finance Control Office, GSC’s.**

**Principal responsibilities**:

- Managing the control environment and creating awareness across teams and levels with a view to manage exceptions and ensure compliance with Global standards.
- Execution of Risk and Control Assessments (RCAs) including responsibility for any associated Configuration and Scoping activities to ensure Operational Risk Compliance.
- Provide significant input for Inherent Risk, Control Effectiveness and Residual Risk Rationales in line with the Operational Risk and frameworks and any associated Non-Financial Risk Embedding Measures.
- Conduct Risk Impact assessment and revision of RCAs based on information submitted for Internal Events.
- Tracking and ensuring completion of Continuous Monitoring Plans within HELIOS and assisting Controls Owners with technical queries.
- Facilitation of the HSBC Risk and Control Management Meeting, including preparation of the final pack, presentation of the 1LOD paper, production of minutes and management of actions.
- Reviewing, recording, tracking and quality assurance around Management self-identified issues to ensure compliance with internal audit criteria
- Ensure adequacy of framework around SOX controls which would include up to date inventory, training and monitoring
- Manage control related MI and develop a detailed understanding of the finance processes that they support
- Ensuring Helios Data Quality including correcting illogical combinations and ensuring Control Owners continuously maintain HELIOS data.
- Involvement in Transformation projects related to Global Risk and Control initiatives, acting as the Finance SME.

Requirements
- CA/MBA/B. Com: At least 10 years of relevant post qualification experience in a leading accounting firms / financial services sector.
- Strong risk and control experience with experience in performing risk and control assessments, issue identification, remediation, experience of managing SLA’s
- Conducting risk committees and managing SOX framework is recommended
- Experience of managing direct reports is preferred
- Experience of interacting with auditors / performing audits would be preferred
- The role holder should have following skills and experience:

- Ability to work in fast-paced environment with proven ability to handle multiple outputs at one time
- Knowledge of finance functions such as accounting, reconciliation and reporting in the financial services sector is a must with In-Depth understanding of balance sheet, reconciliation and substantiation
- Prior experience in operational risk or audit would be desirable
- Ability to understand the Process, Polices & Procedures to Assess the Effectiveness of SOX controls.
- Review Controls Monitoring Plan and work closely with the In-country Chief Controls Office Team.
- Understanding various Systems and their Functionality which are used by the business areas and under the Scope of ARCC COE.
- Understanding of SOX, operational risk and COSO frameworks would be desirable
- Should have eye for detail, problem solving and influencing skills
- Ability to challenge information presented, providing explanation to ensure that agreement is reached by both parties
- Excellent interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with team members/wider business including senior executive management and ability to develop a good rapport in challenging situations
- Able to cope with stringent timelines & Strong communication and presentation skills
- Automation skills
