**Job Summary**

We have an exciting role open within Caterpillar’s Global Finance Strategy Division for a **Digital Product Owner**. In this role, you will be an essential partner to the Leaders of Global Finance Data and Advanced Analytics within Global Finance Services Division.

Incumbent would support a Global Data and Advanced Analytics team with responsibilities for Global Finance related to data platform and analytics business solutions. This is a great opportunity to support the extensive growth and impact of our Global Finance digital solutions.

The preference for this role is to be based out of **Bangalore - Whitefield office**

**What you will do**
- Requirement Gathering: Define functional, non-functional, reporting and technical data mapping requirements
- Business Process Improvement: Drive business process improvement with Global Finance by enabling data and analytics capability using data platform
- Roadmap and Vision: Built the product vision and roadmap in alignment with business objectives
- Testing: Perform functional testing and coordinate with UAT testers to drive the data platform testing phase
- Execution & Monitoring: Monitor project progress, identifying and resolving issues to ensure smooth execution
- Maximize Business Value: Creating, maintaining and prioritizing the Product Backlog according to business value for the life of the project
- Stakeholder Management: Communicate project status, risks, and issues to stakeholders regularly. Manage stakeholder expectations and foster strong relationships to achieve product vision and roadmap alignment
- Risk Management: Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies. Proactively address challenges to minimize project impacts
- Quality Assurance: Ensure that all project deliverables meet the required SOX IT controls (if applicable), quality standards and are delivered on time
- Reporting & Documentation: Prepare and maintain comprehensive project status. Provide regular updates and reports to senior management

**What you will have**
- **Business Analysis**: Knowledge of business analysis and the set of tasks, techniques and tools required to identify business needs; ability to recommend solutions that deliver value to stakeholders.
- **Decision Making and Critical Thinking**: Knowledge of the decision-making process and associated tools and techniques; ability to accurately analyze situations and reach productive decisions based on informed judgment.
- **Software Change Request Management**:Knowledge of software change request management; ability to manage software product change requests from customers, prospective customers, vendors, and internal staff.
- **Software Engineering**: Knowledge of software engineering
- **Software Problem Management**: Knowledge of strategies, practices and tools for resolving software problems; ability to manage software problems in installed software products.
- **Software Development Lifecyle**: Knowledge of water fall and Agile methodologies, tools and techniques
- **Software Product Business Knowledge**: Knowledge of and experience with the business aspects and operation of a software product; understanding install base, current uses, future plans, and product vision.
- **User Acceptance Testing (UAT)**:Knowledge of UAT activities, tasks, tools and techniques; ability to design, implement and evaluate acceptance tests for end-users.

**Basic Requirements**:

- Bachelor’s degree or master’s degree in information systems, STEM, Finance or similar related discipline
- 5+ years’ experience working as a Technical product owner
- 5+ years of experience leading a technical team while simultaneously managing multiple projects
- 3+ years of experience with the Agile methodology
- Knowledge in Accounting and Finance domain
- Experience in JIRA, Azure Devops and Confluence tool
