Why is this job a big deal:
Reporting directly to the Senior Counsel, Flights, Priceline is looking for a qualified, engaging, and experienced associate counsel to work in the commercial & corporate vertical within the Priceline Legal Department.

In this role you will get to:
- Support the Senior Counsel, Flights and the Director, Regulatory & Rental Car on drafting, review and negotiating contracts and developing efficiencies in the contracting process for supply side third party services (e.g. with airlines and rental car suppliers) for the flights and rental car verticals globally.- Support the Senior Counsel, Flights and Director, Regulatory & Rental Car with international corporate and regulatory matters in global jurisdictions.- Be a highly organized and communicative primary point of contact for day to day management of contracts and related needs in these supply side contracting verticals, including successfully managing high volumes and competing priorities across many time zones.- Be operationally minded, with strategic vision of how to set up your business units for scale and success; work closely with your business partners, as well as your contract management and legal operations colleagues to ensure contracts are moving efficiently through the contract lifecycle, with an eye towards continuous improvement.- Manage continuous improvement of contract templates to drive contracting efficiencies across the flights and rental car verticals, including NDAs and short-form contract amendments, including for supply connections and commission arrangements.- Support lead Mumbai-based Senior Counsel in addressing all corporate and operational matters relating to the Mumbai office.- Be a collaborative self-starter who enjoys engaging with local and overseas colleagues to solve legal and practical day to day issues.- Build strong partnerships with business colleagues in the Flights and Rental Car teams in all geographies (rental car being entirely based in the USA).

Who you are:
- LLB/B.A LLB( Hons.) degree from a top law university (preferably from a National Law University). Master’s degree would be an added advantage but not mandatory.- Minimum 4 years of relevant legal experience as a qualified counsel/attorney in a law firm and/or In-house corporate legal team in reviewing, drafting and negotiating contracts. This experience is required.- Experience of working directly with senior executives, ideally including some in-house legal experience.- A fast learner; intellectually curious and willing to quickly adopt industry language and absorb different perspectives from different parts of the business..- Prior experience working with contracts management systems (e.g. Conga/Apptus), and outside counsel billing tools (e.g. Jira, Legal Tracker) preferred.- Exceptional organizational skills; Strong writing and editing skills- Be a strong communicator, both verbally and in writing.- Illustrated history of living the values necessary to Priceline: Customer, Innovation, Team, Accountability and Trust.- The Right Results, the Right Way is not just a motto at Priceline; it’s a way of life.
