The Role

There are two halves to this role: First, contributing to current projects where you analyze problems and tech issues, offer solutions, and test, modify, automate, and integrate systems. And second, long-range strategic planning of IT infrastructure and operational execution. This role isn’t specific to any one platform, so you’ll need a good feel for all of them. And because of this, you’ll experience variety and growth at Kyndryl that you won’t find anywhere else.

key responsibilities and requirements for this role:
Access Control: Administering access policies and provisioning tasks such as Identity and Access Management (IAM) to ensure only authorized users have access to the mainframe systems.
Security Monitoring: Monitoring security events and incidents and responding to security breaches to mitigate risks and protect the mainframe environment.
Compliance: Ensuring compliance with security policies, standards, and regulations by conducting regular audits and assessments.
Incident Response: Developing and implementing incident response plans to address security incidents and minimize their impact.
Collaboration: Working closely with other IT teams and stakeholders to integrate security measures into the overall IT infrastructure and business processes.

You’ll be involved early to offer solutions; help decide whether something can be done and identify the technical and timeline risks up front. This means dealing with both client expectations and internal challenges - in other words, there are plenty of opportunities to make a difference, and a lot of people will witness your contributions. Required Technical and Professional Experience- Minimum 6+ years of Experience on Z platform, focused on z/OS, but with fair knowledge/experience on other domains like database, middleware, storage, network, and performance.- managing and securing mainframe systems to ensure the integrity, confidentiality, and availability of data.- Working knowledge of Mainframe ESM such as RACF including the basics, commands, operations, capabilities, and integrations.- Knowledge on Z security concepts, such as PR/SM Virtualization, Common Criteria, HMC/SE Security, SAF, APF, Problem State vs. Supervisor State, Supervisor Calls, ACEE, SMF, Role-based Access, Principle of Least Privilege, Privileged Access Management, Database/Middleware/Network Security.- Experience in working on Mainframe services delivery
