As the Mainframe and Distributed Security operation, you will oversee the security operations for our systems. You will be responsible for implementing security policies, managing user access controls, and ensuring compliance with industry regulations.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Develop, implement, and maintain security policies and procedures related to mainframe and distributed systems.
- Manage user access, roles, and permissions within the environment.
- Monitor security logs and reports to identify and respond to potential security incidents.
- Conduct regular security audits and assessments to ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations.
- Collaborate with IT and other departments to ensure security best practices are followed across all systems.
- Provide training and guidance to staff on security protocols and awareness.
- Stay updated on emerging security threats and technologies to enhance security measures.
- Lead incident response efforts for security breaches or vulnerabilities.

- Minimum 3 years of experience in Mainframe/distributed operations.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
- Experience in mainframe and Distributed security management.
- Expertise in IPLs of z/OS, z/VM, z/TPF, WinOS and Linux.
- Strong knowledge of security protocols and best practices.
- Familiarity with compliance standards (e.g., PCI DSS, HIPAA, SOX).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.

**Preferred Skills**:

- RACF administration and security auditing experience.
- Knowledge of mainframe and distributed operating systems (e.g., z/OS).
- Certifications in security management (e.g., CISSP, CISM) are a plus.
- Experienced in training new team members.
- Identify tasks or issues for improvement and escalate tickets to the appropriate team.Quickly assess the severity of problems and make appropriate escalations.
