Patient Counselor

**Key Responsibilities**
- **Patient Support and Guidance**:

- Act as the primary point of contact for patients to address concerns and answer questions.
- Provide emotional and psychological support to patients and families dealing with medical conditions.
- Educate patients on their diagnosis, treatment options, and care plans in an understandable manner.
- **Coordination and Communication**:

- Facilitate communication between patients, healthcare providers, and other support staff.
- Schedule appointments, tests, or follow-ups as needed, ensuring seamless patient care.
- Advocate for patients’ needs and preferences to ensure personalized care.
- **Educational Support**:

- Offer information on health conditions, medications, and procedures to patients and caregivers.
- Organize workshops or informational sessions to promote awareness and understanding of healthcare issues.
- **Administrative Tasks**:

- Maintain accurate and confidential patient records.
- Document interactions and follow-ups in accordance with organizational policies.
- Collaborate with insurance providers to explain coverage options and assist with claims if necessary.
- **Emotional and Psychological Assistance**:

- Provide crisis intervention or referral to appropriate mental health professionals when required.
- Assist patients in coping with anxiety, stress, or emotional challenges associated with their care.

**Skills and Qualifications**
- **Educational Requirements**:

- Bachelor’s degree in psychology, counseling, social work, or a related field (Master’s preferred for clinical roles).
- Certification in counseling or patient advocacy is a plus.
- **Skills and Competencies**:

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Empathy, patience, and a non-judgmental approach to patient care.
- Organizational and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in healthcare technology and electronic medical record (EMR) systems.
- **Experience**:

- Prior experience in counseling, healthcare, or patient advocacy is highly desirable.

**Work Environment**
- Typically works in hospitals, clinics, rehabilitation centers, or outpatient facilities.
- May require flexibility to work evenings or weekends depending on patient needs

Pay: ₹18,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
