Introduction:
Role of the Process expert will be to perform QA for different business areas Focusing on volume, value and pace of payments through the Barclays infrastructure and escalating accordingly to ensure quick resolution thus minimising impact to the customer.
The successful applicant will be identifying potential issues across various points in the payment life cycle; using exception based monitoring and escalating accordingly.
- Requirement to work some Bank Holidays
- Voluntary option to support regression/live confidence testing including business and industry changes at weekends

What will you be doing?
- To undertake as well as ensure that case & call monitoring remote and/or Live monitoring is compliant with Regulatory/Service/ Knowledge standards as defined by the Quality Framework
- Work closely with the team to achieve Quantitative and Qualitative targets specified by the client
- Identify critical issues (found outside the normal course of monitoring) and flag to the Quality Team Manager/Operations Team Manager/Operations Manager on a timely basis
- Understand and validate any updates/change in process received either from the Client or the Internal Team and disseminate the updates through one or more relevant communication mode(s)
- Investigate and respond to complaints as per the complaints procedures defined in SOP
- Carry out monthly audits to check adherence to consequence management
- Conduct briefings on updates, RCA, Top errors
- Review / Validate the Operating Instructions at least annually
- To accredit New Joiners/Cross skill advisors prior to “Go Live”
- Identify process gaps and collaborate with team/client to formulate solutions

What we’re looking for:

- Inquisitive mind, constantly challenging the status quo and ability to suggest improvements. Accuracy and attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills - written and verbal dealing with various stakeholders including Senior Management
- Analysis, problem solving and decision making skills. Advanced PC skills, including excellent keyboard skills and Excel.
- Ability to sustain high level of concentration and in depth analysis

Skills that will help you in the role:

- Comprehensive knowledge of Barclay’s payment systems such as GPP, MassPay and SMS. Understanding of xml message formats.
- Comprehensive knowledge of Scheme-specific systems such as Enquiry Link, IWS, ICM and DPWS.
- Familiarity with the workings of CHAPS, Target2, SEPA and EBA, and upcoming industry developments such as Strategic Reform
- Comprehensive knowledge of the E2E life cycle of a payment from the source system through to reconciliation
