**Job Overview**:
A Draftsman, also known as a Draughtsman, is responsible for creating detailed technical drawings, plans, and blueprints for construction, manufacturing, and engineering projects. In India, Draftsmen play a key role in translating the ideas and designs of architects and engineers into technical drawings that can be used for actual project execution. They use specialized software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or Revit to produce precise technical illustrations.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Create Technical Drawings**: Prepare detailed, accurate technical drawings based on specifications provided by engineers, architects, or designers.
- **Drafting Plans**: Produce drawings for buildings, machinery, structures, and other projects as per the standards and requirements.
- **Work with CAD Software**: Use computer-aided design (CAD) tools like AutoCAD, Revit, or similar software to produce drawings in 2D and 3D.
- **Collaborate with Teams**: Work closely with architects, civil engineers, and project managers to incorporate specifications, adjust designs, and ensure the drawing reflects the project’s goals.
- **Revise Drawings**: Make changes to drawings as required by project revisions, client requests, or changes in specifications.
- **Ensure Compliance**: Follow relevant building codes, industry standards, and safety regulations while drafting.
- **Materials and Cost Estimation**: Assist in estimating material requirements and associated costs based on designs.
- **Field Work Support**: Occasionally visit construction or manufacturing sites to gather information and ensure designs are being followed correctly.
- **Quality Control**: Review and verify designs and drawings for accuracy, ensuring that all specifications are met.
- **Maintain Documentation**: Keep records of all drawings, blueprints, and project files in an organized manner for future reference.

**Required Qualifications**:

- **Educational Qualification**: Diploma or Degree in Civil, Mechanical, or Architectural Draftsmanship. ITI certification in Draughtsman Civil/Mechanical is preferred.
- **Experience**: 1-3 years of relevant experience in drafting, design, or similar roles.
- **Technical Skills**:

- Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit, SolidWorks, or similar drafting software.
- Knowledge of 2D and 3D design.
- Basic understanding of construction materials, methods, and processes.
- **Soft Skills**:

- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure.
- Problem-solving abilities and adaptability.

**Preferred Skills**:

- Knowledge of BIM (Building Information Modeling) software.
- Familiarity with Indian building codes and standards (e.g., IS codes, NBC).
- Previous experience working in construction or manufacturing industries.
- Knowledge of local languages for better coordination at project sites.

Pay: ₹10,323.27 - ₹40,452.01 per month
